A Pandemic-Performative Research
Work in Progress Showcase at English Theater Berlin | IPAC at 25th of September, 2021.
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” – Samuel Beckett.
The pandemic condemns us to failure on all levels, slows us down and causes us to despair. We took a close look at the miseries of our time and researched the possibility of a comedic radicalization of digital failure. Striving for the grande Fiasko!
In our two-month research, we developed performative acts in an online format that were built up by failure. As a collective, we have used methods of clowning to create contemporary performances.
We were interested in expanding and radicalizing our practices of failure.
By accepting the impossible we found raw material for our performance!
